Now With EVEN SHORTER Wheelbase!
Oh My! (and that’s not the side that broke!)
the bottom of oppo’s most mysterious truck box.
peek-a-boo!
I finally found the fuel Filter! This is where it actually broke. doesn’t look as bad as the “good” side because it’s collapsed inside itself.
*Please note* I wasn’t driving it around like this, th e carnage is the result of a “stress test” I did to see how bad the rot was. Then I bent it a little more so that it’s time as a truck ends with me. Motor tentatively going to another grandfather’s old Toyota, I feel good about that.

You need to chop the rotten bit out of the middle and make a stubby truck.

That would be the bit between the bumpers. Toyota’s problem area for corrosion.

So you aren’t going full Roadkill on it?

I think my Grand pa would’ve liked it to go to the fire dept for jaws of life practice (we used to watch rescue 911 together) but I don’t think it would put up much of a fight.

You just progressively make it shorter over time.

it would seem not. the frame is packed with salty wet sand, and has been since the 80s. N ot a lot of original truck left.
